The enemy The Defender		Only those who haven't had to battle with a determined heron might think that calling it "the enemy" is extreme.
		Sharon took this picture from about 4 feet while the heron was on the deck railing. More >>
		Notice how sneaky the heron is. In the bottom right photo he is sticking his long neck just above the brush to check if the coast is clear. I was very still so he continued his approach carefully.
